End of 2015 Flox Class

                          Last being a year 5

I will miss Mrs Kingston and Mrs Curtis. I will miss Mrs Curtis because when I first came to this school Mrs Curtis helped me on my reading and writing because I wasn't really that good at it. But know I am really good. 

I will also miss Mrs Kingston because she helped us with our technology like Chromebook and I know that she is a great although I wasn't in her class.

The Christmas Lottery

Again have to get ready for work. 10:00 going to work in the bus. A person next to me sleeps on my shoulder. Maybe he was alone as well because all the other seats were empty, but we sat together on the same seat.

11:00; I reached work, I looked at the picture that my friends had taken together with each other, but I wasn’t in the picture because we hadn’t met for a very long time. So, I had an idea. I’d take a picture with the mannequins. Also in my own time I played soccer with the mannequins. Every night I used to supervise the factory I was the security guard.

Next day, 10:00 again getting ready to go to work at 11:00. When I was in the bus I was reading a newspaper. I saw a picture of my friends holding a lottery ticket. I said to myself that maybe I’ll be a security guard for ever.

But when I reached work I saw a mannequin holding a lottery ticket that said my name. I was surprised. After that when I entered the room the lights turned on and all of my friends were there. Everybody smiled at me and we all celebrated the lottery ticket.

Penguins

Interesting facts:

Penguins are birds of the southern ocean. There are no penguins in north of the world. Penguins cannot fly. When they come ashore, they stand upright on their short legs, and take small, waddling steps.

Penguins have flippers instead of wings. The flippers are like paddles, and they are perfect shape for swimming. Penguins are excellent swimmers. They look as if they are flying underwater.

WALT use precise nouns to add detail for our reader.

This week in writing we have been using precise nouns to make our writing more specific for the reader.

We took a paragraph and changed the nouns from general nouns to precise nouns.

Here is an example.

In the weekend I had to do lots of shopping with my Mum. We went to the shop diary to get some food vegetable. We also went to look for a present for my cousin’s birthday. I had to choose between a doll and a soft toy teddy bear. After that we went to the Warehouse to buy some clothes, I got two new items and a pair of shoes. Because I had been so good, mum took me to the shop to buy an ice block. Lucky me!
